A Quiet Christmas: Peace, Gratitude & the Ones Who Matter
It’s Christmas Day and my house is quiet.
No chaos, no obligations, no forced cheer. Just me, my twin flame David, our 5-year-old cat Cheeky Boy and exactly the kind of peace I’ve spent years creating.
And honestly? It’s perfect.

How I Got To Celebrate Christmas My Way
I was brought up Catholic: traditional Christmases, big gatherings and all the expectations that come with the season. You know the script: the perfect day, the elaborate meal, the obligatory visits, the performance of it all.
These days, I call myself spiritual rather than religious. I believe in God—a God of the highest good and I pray. I believe deeply in healing power and universal love. But my relationship with Christmas has completely transformed.
My circle is small now. Intentionally small. David, Cheeky Boy and a select few real friends who genuinely appreciate and respect me. That’s not sad, that’s curated. That’s the result of years of setting boundaries, clearing trauma and choosing peace over obligation.
Christmas for me now? It’s a day of rest and gratitude with the ones who truly matter.
The Christmas We’re Sold vs The Christmas We Need
Walk into any supermarket in December and you’re assaulted by it: the same Christmas songs on repeat, drilling into your head until you can’t think straight. Mariah Carey for the thousandth time. Wham! on an endless loop. It’s designed to make you feel something, nostalgia, joy, the urge to buy things.
The message is everywhere: Christmas is about giving and receiving presents. About big gatherings, being surrounded by crowds of people or about performing happiness.
But what if that’s not what you need? What if you’ve learned that peace comes from quality, not quantity? What if your version of Christmas looks quiet, intentional, restful?
The world tells you that’s not enough. That bigger is better. That you’re missing out.
I’m here to tell you it’s not true.
My Christmas Day
Here’s what my Christmas looks like:
I wake up naturally. No alarms. No obligations. David and I make ourselves a simple, nourishing plant based meal, but normally it’s pancakes with fresh fruit, greek yogurt and dash of maple syrup, exactly what our bodies want and a strong cuppa tea with milk. We move gently, maybe stretch and a nice long walk in our country park.
I spend time with Cheeky Boy. His purrs are the best Christmas soundtrack I could ask for. I listen to healing music, 432 Hz, the universal frequency, the antidote to all that supermarket noise. I might create some music myself. We rest, we breathe, we practice gratitude.
Gratitude for our health, for our peace, for the boundaries we’ve built, for the few real, loving people in our lives and for the fact that we get to spend this day exactly as we choose.
No stress, no pretending, no draining interactions. Just… peace.

Permission to Do Christmas Your Way
If you’re reading this and your Christmas looks different from the adverts, quieter, smaller, more intentional, I want you to know: you’re not doing it wrong.
Rest is sacred. Gratitude is powerful. Peace is a gift you give yourself.
You don’t owe anyone a big performance or forced cheer. You don’t have to apologise for protecting your energy, especially during a season that can be so draining.
Maybe your Christmas looks like mine: quiet, intentional, healing. Maybe it looks completely different. But if it doesn’t match the picture-perfect version you see everywhere, that’s okay. That’s more than okay.
Quality always beats quantity. Peace always beats chaos.
The Real Frequency of Christmas
They say Christmas is about love, light and connection. I agree. But that doesn’t have to mean chaos, obligation and overwhelm.
The universal frequency 432 Hz is about harmony, healing and alignment with nature. That’s what Christmas can be when you strip away the commercialism and the expectations.
It can be a day to tune into yourself and the people who truly matter, to honour what you’ve built, to celebrate the peace you’ve fought for.
A day to simply be.
A Christmas Wish for You
Whether you’re surrounded by crowds or keeping it small, whether you’re thriving or struggling, I wish you this:
Permission:
- Permission to feel however you feel
- to do Christmas however works for you
- to rest
- to celebrate quietly
- or to simply let it be exactly what you need it to be.
Peace. Real, deep, intentional peace. The kind that comes from honouring yourself and choosing wisely.
Gratitude. For whatever light you can find, however small, for the people who genuinely love you, for the quiet moments.
And if you need some healing energy today, put on some 432 Hz music.
You can choose between uplifting songs with positive lyrics to boost your mood or a playlist of quiet 432 Hz tone and ambience track to relax and heal your nervous system. Whatever you need, I got you!
Let it wash over you. Let it remind you that you’re exactly where you need to be.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. And to everyone else? May your day be peaceful, whatever it looks like for you.
With love and healing frequencies,
Elyse
