Why This Music Industry Revolution Matters Now

Spiritual awakening IS happening! Change is scary. Old systems have a weird comfort, even if they hold you back!

The music industry, like so many others, has been built to keep people small, quiet and compliant. In other words, it’s keeping people stuck in a box.

But safety is the enemy of growth. The world is moving forward, whether you like it or not.

This revolution isn’t about fitting in or keeping up. It’s about showing up as your authentic self.

The frequencies, the energy, the very vibrations of the music you listen to and create are changing—and so must you.

But before we dive further, let me clarify the “showing up as your authentic self” part… I’m sure you’ve heard of it before, but no one is ACTUALLY telling you HOW to be your authentic self…

What “showing up as your authentic self” really means (without the fluff)

It means you stop pretending to be who you think people want you to be and start being who you actually are… Even if it’s messy, weird, loud, quiet, intense, awkward, soft, bold, spiritual, skeptical, or all of the above!

It means you:

stop editing yourself to fit in.
stop people-pleasing, aka putting others’ needs before your own and pouring from an empty cup.
say the thing you actually think, not the “safe” version.
wear what feels good to YOU, not what makes you look “professional” or “cool.”
let yourself create, speak, sing, dance, lead, or chill in the way that feels right in your bones, even if it goes against what the industry, your parents or that one ex told you was “acceptable.”

It’s NOT about oversharing or baring your soul 24/7 either. It’s about integrity. Alignment. Not selling out who you are just to be liked.

So how do you actually become your authentic self?

Here’s the how, in 5 non-fluffy steps:

1. Know what’s true for you

Start by asking:

What do I love (not just what’s trending)?
What triggers me or lights me up?
Where do I feel the most me?

You can’t be authentic if you don’t know who you are. Journaling, voice notes, nature walks or even freestyle singing can help you reconnect with your Truth.

2. Notice where you shrink or “shapeshift”

Do you censor your voice?
Do you say “yes” when your gut says “hell no”?
Do you wear a mask to fit into society?

Awareness is everything. Once you see the pattern, you get to change it.

3. Practice doing it your way

Even if it’s scary.

Say “no” to events, parties, collabs or plans that don’t vibe.

Speak up in your content the way you’d talk to your soul fam.

Share that weird, magical project you’ve been hiding for too long!

Authenticity is a muscle. Use it and it grows.

4. Accept that not everyone will like it

And that’s ✨exactly✨ the point.

You’re not here to be digestible for the masses. You’re here to call in YOUR people. Your people can’t find you if you’re blending in.

5. Anchor into your “why”

Remember what you’re rising for.

Freedom?
Healing?
Purpose?
Your future self?
The new earth?

When you remember what you’re here for, you stop needing permission to be yourself. Your why becomes the permission!

Authenticity isn’t a final destination. It’s a choice you make on the daily!

Some days it’s loud. Some days it’s quiet. But every time you show up from the truth instead of the performance… that’s it. That’s the magic.
