Why Spotify Removed My Healing Music, Real and Not AI-Generated

I’ve been making music for over 30 years. I tour the world with my 90s Eurodance group, write pop and dance songs with uplifting, powerful lyrics. I’ve been a solo artist specialising in healing music since 2014 and released my 1st frequency album in 2021, before AI-generated music and frequencies became a thing.

I’ve watched the music industry transform more times than I can count.

But nothing prepared me for last month.

Why Spotify Removed My Healing Music, Real and Not AI-Generated

Digital Healing Music Created In A Real Studio

These days, alongside my songwriting, I create what I call “digital healing music” Hz frequency tracks in both tones and ambient styles. If you’ve never experienced this kind of music, imagine sound designed specifically to work with your energy centers (chakras).

We all have energy portals throughout our bodies that can get blocked from trauma, addiction or simply being around negative people. These Hz frequencies eg: 285, 432, 528, 639 and others, actually help unblock and clear that stagnant energy.

Some tracks work in 5 minutes, others in 10, but when they hit, they really hit.

I’ve poured my heart into this work. It’s intentional, created with purpose, it’s real.

The Email That Will Prevent People From Enjoying New Healing Music

Last month, I went to release four new ambient albums across all the major streaming platforms: Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, the works. Standard process. I’ve done it dozens of times over the years, well before AI-generating music was even a thing.

Then I got the email from my music distribution company:

You can’t release these.

Why? Because AI bots in China have exploded the market with automated Hz ambient music. The platforms are so flooded with AI-generated frequency tracks that they’re now blocking ALL Hz ambient music, including from legitimate artists like me, to avoid being overrun.

I was gutted.

Here’s Why This Matters

This isn’t just about me losing a revenue stream (though that stings). This is about something much bigger:

Can AI actually create healing music?

I don’t think so. Healing isn’t just about hitting the right frequency. It’s about intention. It’s about the energy the creator puts into the work. When I make a 528 Hz track, I’m not just generating a tone, I’m infusing it with purpose, with care, with the intention to help someone heal.

An AI bot in a server farm? It’s just… calculating. There’s no heart, no spirit, no understanding of what it means to be blocked, hurt or in need of healing.

And yet, the platforms can’t tell the difference.

What I Did Instead To Spread My Healing Music

I didn’t give up. I put all four albums on my YouTube channel instead, where people can still access them. But it’s not the same. Streaming platforms are where people discover music, where they create playlists, where artists earn (however little) from their work.

The Bigger Picture

If you’re a musician, you’re probably nodding your head right now. If you’re a music lover, you might not have realised this is happening behind the scenes.

AI isn’t just “coming for” the music industry, it’s already here and it’s affecting real artists in real time. Not the big labels or the major players. Independent artists like me who are trying to create something meaningful.

I’m not anti-technology. I’m not a Luddite, but I am pro-authenticity, pro-intention., pro-human.

How You Can Help

If this resonates with you, here’s what you can do:

  • Listen consciously. When you’re searching for healing music, frequency tracks or ambient sounds, look for real artists. Check if there’s a person behind the music. Read their story.
  • Support independent musicians. We’re out here creating with purpose and we need you now more than ever.
  • Share this message. The more people understand what’s happening, the more pressure platforms will feel to protect real artists.

And if you want to directly support my work, whether it’s my healing music, my songwriting or just the fact that I’m still here creating after 30+ years, you can:

Every bit of support helps an independent artist keep creating in an industry that’s increasingly stacked against us.

Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for supporting real music made by real humans.

FAQ Love Energy Blog

No. AI can generate frequencies and tones, but healing music requires human intention and energy. When a real artist creates a 528 Hz track, they’re infusing it with purpose and understanding of what healing means. A bot is just calculating numbers. The energy behind the creation matters as much as the frequency itself.

Look for an artist bio, a story behind the music, or a face and name attached to the work. Real musicians have websites, social media presence, and usually explain their process. AI generated tracks often have generic titles, no artist information, and appear in bulk uploads with similar artwork.

No, but many are AI generated and the ones from real artists are getting harder to find or are being blocked from uploading new releases. Some legitimate healing music is still available, but platforms are making it increasingly difficult for authentic artists to release new work in this category.

YouTube, Bandcamp, and artist websites are your best options right now. Many independent musicians are moving their healing music catalogs to platforms where they have more control. Supporting artists directly through their websites or Patreon also ensures you’re getting authentic work.

It already is. Ambient, lo-fi, meditation, and instrumental genres are all vulnerable to AI flooding. Any category where music can be generated quickly without lyrics or complex arrangements is at risk. Independent artists across multiple genres are facing similar distribution challenges.
